Benue State Governor Samuel Ortom has reported that he and a few of his colleagues met with Labour Party presidential candidate Peter Obi, All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential candidate Bola Tinubu, and Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) presidential candidate Atiku Abubakar in London, United Kingdom (UK),
According to POLITICS NIGERIA, the PDP governors recently spent a few days in Europe, where they met with the three front-runners for president and former Nigerian President Olusegun Obasanjo.
Speaking shortly after their arrival, Ortom said their discussions were non-partisan.
“For us, we are looking at the larger picture,” the Benue governor said.
“Nigeria today is in distress. What can we do/ No man or woman alone can get it right for our country. We are looking at how we can harness ideas and put ourselves together to ensure that we get out of the challenge we are in Nigeria today.
“Nigeria is in distress, no doubt about that. From top to bottom. Consider what was happening in 2015, and where we are today.
“So, it is a concern that we have for our country, Nigeria. This is beyond partisan politics.
“We are looking at how to come together to ensure that Nigeria survives.”
