Healthy living should be one of our top concerns in the twenty-first century, but many people have trivialized it as a result, leading to an increase in a variety of ailments. The appendix is a finger-shaped pouch that emerges from your colon on the lower right side of your belly. Although the exact function of the appendix isn’t always clear, research has shown that it serves as a storage facility for healthy bacteria, effectively ” restarting” the digestive system following diarrheal disorders.
What is the definition of appendicitis?
When the appendix becomes infected and full of pus, it is called appendicitis. Appendicitis is a condition in which the appendix becomes infected. When this happens, a surgical operation is required to remove the problem. There is no side effect once the appendix is removed because you can function normally without it.
When your appendix is compromised, you will experience certain signs and symptoms, and your body will begin to deliver you. Some of these include pain in your lower stomach or an ache at your navel that causes your motions to slow down, a loss of appetite, nausea, and vomiting soon after the stomach ache starts, and a lack of appetite. Swollen stomach, fever of 99-102 degrees, unable to avoid flatulence, and so on.
For the protection of your appendix, some of the meals you should limit your intake include?
1. Alcoholic beverages.
If you’re someone who drinks too much alcohol, I strongly advise you to limit your intake to avoid appendicitis. Excessive alcohol consumption might aggravate the symptoms of appendicitis. It can also exacerbate the symptoms. Too much alcohol consumption can also affect a few internal organs, so limit your consumption.
2. Spicy dishes.
Excessive consumption of highly spiced foods isn’t always safe and can lead to appendicitis. Indigestion can be caused by eating spicy foods such as chili, heated peppers, or salsa. Indigestion can cause severe pain and nausea in the area between your breastbone and your stomach button. All of this could contribute to appendicitis, so stay away from it.
3. Fattening foods.
Excessive eating of fatty foods isn’t always healthy for you because it can cause appendix illness. Fried foods are high in fat and can wreak havoc on the digestive system. Obesity, high blood pressure, diabetes, and bloating can all be caused by eating too many fried foods.
