The Peoples Democratic Party’s (PDP) presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, denounced the deadly attack on Senator Ifeanyi Ubah’s convoy, who represents the Anambra South senatorial zone, on Sunday night.
Senator Ubah was attacked at Enugwu Ukwu in the Njikoka Local Government Area (LGA) of the state on Sunday night, according to POLITICS NIGERIA, which detailed how numerous police escorts and aides in the convoy of the senator were shot and killed.

“We’ve got work to do to ensure that safety and security returns to our dear country,” Atiku said via his verified Twitter handle.
Meanwhile, the Commissioner of Police Anambra State Command CP Echeng Echeng has led operatives to the scene of the attack.
According to the state police command, “the situation is being monitored”.
