It’s amazing and terrifying all at once to have twins!
Isabella and Madeline are the names of twin twins born to Alissa and Michael Dunn.
They went for a normal examination when the girls were two months old, and the experience left everyone speechless.
The doctor noticed that Madeline’s tummy was seriously bloated and became concerned.
When Madeline was barely two months old, she received a cancer diagnosis!
Adding insult to injury, Isabella soon began to exhibit symptoms identical to those of Madeline.
It was Stage 4S Neuroblastoma, a rare kind of cancer, and the twins’ tiny bodies were covered in identical tumors.
The prognosis of either girl’s survival was uncertain to the doctors.
Chemotherapy was administered to Madeline and Isabella to begin their treatments.
For the first chemotherapy session, the girls were divided.
After that treatment, Madeline and Isabella became seriously ill; Alissa and Michael were devastated.
The girls were put back together during the second round of chemotherapy, and when they saw one another, they smiled once more.
Both girls improved as the weeks went on.
After the treatments were finished, an MRI was performed to check for the presence of the cancer.
Just two weeks before Christmas, the family learned that both girls had been cancer-free!
