Former Manchester Midfielder Lands First Coaching Job

Former Manchester United midfielder Michael Carrick on the latest reports has been named as championship side Middlesbrough’s new head coach.

This follows the sacking of Chris Wilder three weeks ago due to unpleasant results – picking just two wins in 11 outings.

Carrick, who after retirement in 2008 and took a coaching job at Old Trafford under the leadership of Jose Mourinho and then Ole Gunnar Solskjaer- for close to three years, will now put such training skills to the test in the hot seat at Riverside.

The 41-year-old upon this huge announcement to recall started his first professional career with the said club at age 11 and now return in a much bigger role.

Boro last season reached playoffs and much expectation was for automatic promotion this season but now find themselves in the 20th position after 17 games – and the appointment of the English – believes will put the club back on track as they eye Premier League return for the first time since 2016/2017 season.
