According to The Nation, Pastor Enoch Sule was accused of raping one of the sisters after transporting her to a mountain and lying to her about the act being prompted by the Holy Spirit.
The General Overseer of the Prayer Tabernacle Ministry in Kamurum Bajju, Kaduna State, has been charged at Kafanchan Chief Magistrate Court for raping two sisters and placing them in the family way.
He was remanded by the Court.
Salama Sexual Assault Referral Centre, an NGO, reported the incident to the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC).
“When the case came up for mention, the prosecutor, Marcus Audu, told the court that the Pastor initially deceived the older sister who is 19 years old into accompanying him to the mountain for prayer and fasting.”
“When they reached the mountain, the pastor was said to have instructed the girl to remove her clothes and pray naked as directed by the Holy spirit. The girl and her sister are pregnant,” an official of the NGO said.
