When Obidients Draw Their Crowd, It Is Organic, But When Batified Shuts Down The Arena, It Is Paid,  Matters Arising

A few days ago, stunning rallies in Borno State shook the very foundation of recent political rallies; the two gatherings were organized by separate APC chieftains.

Both were coordinated by the Kadufur Youth Forum and Dr. Betta Edu, the APC’s national woman leader. Without a doubt, the gathering was massive, dwarfing any recent political rally held by any political party.

It was almost as if the entire Nigerian populace had gathered in one place to support Jagaban and Kashim Shettima in their effort to succeed Buhari and Osinbajo as the country’s leaders.

These rallies serve to highlight the former governor of Lagos State’s popularity and his strong chances in the upcoming presidential election. However, skeptics of the APC and supporters of the Obidient movement are quick to cast doubt on the figures present, claiming they were paid to attend while celebrating their own crowds at their Obidient rallies as organic.
It’s amusing that these naysayers have decided to live their lives in self-delusion, despite the reality of the times. The Obidient movement, which is mostly made up of youths, overlooks the reality that there are traditional APC supporters who have the same fire and energy as these so-called Obidient individuals.

And because these traditional followers are made up of both youths, adults, and the elderly, it is clear that their population is always on the rise.

While it is natural that some Nigerians are disillusioned with the country’s current status, the fact remains that not everyone has written the country off; many people believe in the country and feel that it will be great again, which is why they support Asiwaju Bola Tinubu.

Instead of them working harder on the electorates, they have resorted to throwing tantrums as though it will further aid their causes. Making fun of these people would not make Perter Obi’s chances better but would instead simply rob off on the Obidient movement.

You don’t need to make fun of the people whose support you are seeking; doing so just serves to highlight the Obideint movement’s intolerance in front of the public.

For example, let’s rapidly review the most recent voter registrations in the entire federation to discover who is deceiving these political supporters.

The latest reported figures of newly registered voters as of 7 a.m. on Monday, June 27th, 2022 are presented below…

North-Central ; Benue(200,400), Kogi(344,496), Kwara(364,716), Nassarawa(201,842), Niger(113,295), Plateau(375,691), and Abuja(269,985)

North-East ; Adamawa(157,142), Bauchi(251,182), Borno(501,314), Gombe(248,021), Taraba(262,258), and Yobe(91,350)

North-West; Jigawa(235,524), Kaduna(574,811), Kano(369,651), Katsina(119,209), Kebbi(81,133), Sokoto(265,633), and Zamfara(359,651)

South-East ; Abia(107,953), Anambra(159,741), Ebonyi(274,389), Enugu(73,165), and Imo(70,759)

South-South ; Akwa Ibom(144,014), Bayelsa(550,207), Cross River(107,085), Rivers(388,740), Edo(330,903), and Delta(641,174)

South-west ; Ekiti(168,478), Lagos(640,774), Ogun(319,487), Ondo(175,388), Osun(708,968), and Oyo(240,911)

It is obvious from the information above that the South East, which also happens to be Obi’s stronghold, is significantly behind every other region. Is it possible that other regions with this great voter turnout are all Obidient to the disadvantage of their sons running for office?

Only Osun State dwarfs the entire South East in voter registration according to the aforementioned statistics; Osun has 708 968 newly registered voters compared to 686 007 for the entire South East, this alone should ring a bell.

Now the South West is leading in the new voters registration with 2,162,123 and the South East is walking like a snail behind with 685, 007.

Peter Obi supporters are extremely toxic when it comes to engagement, which may lead to them being labeled as BIGOTS by some Nigerians. Peter Obi’s fans should urgently stop assuming that all Nigerians think like them; it is their responsibility to make Nigerians accept them.

My people say Monkey no Fine but the mama like am, one reality that these Obidient supporters fail to realize is that as they cling to their hero so also Asiwaju is seen like a hero by millions of Nigerians.

Let them keep deluding themselves that Asiwaju is paying every Tom, Dick and Harry to get attention , yet Peter Obi is travelling across the globe seeking for money to fund his campaigns, if I may ask what is the money the Obidients are seeking for meant to be used for?

To round out this argument let me remind Obidient readers that the South East final registered voters, which INEC is likely to announce soon, are estimated to be 11.49 million voters out of a total of 96.2 million registered voters.

It should be noted that Lagos and Kano alone have a total voter registration of 13,182,770 million. Lagos has 7,155,920 registered voters and Kano has 6,026,850 registered voters.

If the Obidient followers understand this, they should be at ease because the race is an uphill endeavor that requires commitment, perseverance, door-to-door outreach, and so on in order to be victorious.

Insulting Nigerians who congregate in their thousands to celebrate Tinubu is not something they should mock for their own good; if they stand a chance, these are the people they should be poaching, not making foolish remarks that will not aid their cause.
